Well, after that last post, you'd think I had it under control! It's amazing how fast things change...we had a REALLY rough night last night. About 9pm he started the crying, and no matter if I fed him, rocked him, held him, whatever....constant crying. Adam took him, and he wouldn't stop. Finally conked off at about 2:30 am with me....I woke up at about 5am to feed him, and he immediately went back to cranky mode after I finished. I was SO EXHAUSTED....Adam took him and he managed to get him to sleep so I could get a few extended minutes of shut-eye. All plans to take him to church today went out the window...I fed him and he is now fast asleep inside the bassinet. Hopefully I'll be able to get him back on schedule (whatever that is) today. And get some sleep myself!
So when things like this happen, I wonder what I did wrong. Maybe I didn't do anything wrong...maybe that's just the way things go sometimes. But something did come to me, and I think I'm realizing that my diet has a LOT to do with it. Adam's mom and stepdad came by last night to see him, and while she was here she made some miracles (cookies made of cocoa, oatmeal, peanut butter....delicious!!) and I had several of those along with a diet Dr. Pepper. I think it was just God's way of waking me up and telling me that I need to watch what I eat, because now more than ever I'm eating for two. I guess I didn't fully realize that watching your diet doesn't stop with pregnancy, because it wasn't so much of an issue until now. Lesson learned.

Wow!! I checked the site and there were 2 postings! Don't let Saturday night get to you too much. He really is getting much better at sleeping through the night and getting into a routine. You'll have a night like you had every now and then (even when they get older, believe me) but that will be the exception, not the rule. And, it may not have had anything to do with what you ate affecting Paul Daniel... it may have happened anyway. His pictures are so cute on the blog...I'm ready to see him again!! So, when's the next Sistahood???????????????
Yeah----I recognized one of the pictures since I was holding him!
It must have been the picture where he's not sure what's going on......he did have that "I'm not quite sure who's got me" look when you were holding him!
