Above are pictures from the shower that they gave me at school last week. We really had a fun time, and the cake was absolutely adorable! I saved the top part of the cake and froze it - we'll have it next year for Paul Daniel's first birthday.
Tomorrow I will be considered "full term"! yippppeeee! :) This week has been very productive - it's been a nester's dream! :) Beth came by last Friday and we went through AALLLLLLLLLLLL the clothes I've gotten as gifts and from people at church.....I decided what I wanted, what I couldn't use.... Adam went through the closet in the nursery and got rid of clothes he will never wear again, and we donated a LOT of things to the outreach center in which Mom helps out. We got some of the pictures up on the wall, and other things in the nursery cleaned/cleared out. We were able to buy some shelves and Adam put them together a few days ago. Mom came yesterday and we organized all the clothes by age and put them in drawers, cleaned out my linen closet and sent yet MORE things to the outreach center....I feel a lot better! Now the next thing that I really need to work on are lesson plans for my subs next week. I graded all my papers, and unfortunately I can't access my gradebook online from home, so I'm going to have to go to school to put in these last grades. I'll probably also go by next week and grade the work that the subs have been doing.....after this week, I have a feeling that I'll be busy with other things. But who knows??
Had my doctor's appt. Wednesday - the nurse practitioner checked me out again this time. Still dilated at one, but she said I've thinned out about 80%. Everything is checking out fine...she thinks Paul Daniel is about 7 lbs or so right now, and I'm feeling every pound! Especially when I try to get up in the morning or after laying down. He hasn't dropped much/any that I can tell, and she didn't think he would drop until I'm about ready to deliver since this is my first baby. My feet are still swollen, but since I haven't been on them as much they're definitely not as sore. I am thinking it will REALLY be weird when everyone is back at school next week and I head home after doing what I need to do there. I do know that there would be NO WAY that I could last a full day of teaching.
Well, I guess I had better get on with my day....till next time!

The cake is ABSOLUTELY adorable. I know you told me how it looked, but it's cuter than I imagined. Wow, you and mom were really productive! I'm glad you got things organized/cleaned out. Mom is VERY good at that! Maybe if you don't have the baby next week, you and mom could come up and help me get organized! (actually it would take a LONG time to accomplish that!!) I know Laura is keeping her fingers crossed Paul Daniel will wait for them to get back. As I told you, my phone is nearby and charged, waiting for THE CALL! I'm so excited!!!!!
Glad you put the picture of you in all your glory - That is one that ought to go in Paul Daniel's baby book, along with the cake. I hope to get back to finish up some things on Tues., but will talk to you before then to make sure that will be a good time. Keep your feet up! Love, Mom
