Just got home from the doctor's - we did the growth ultrasound first. She measured him - it was really hard to actually see him, but we did confirm that he definitely is a boy! :) He is at 8 pounds according to her estimate....head down, and he is in position.
After the examination, I am dilated to 2 - and we are going to wait another week before anything is done to move him along. I've dropped some, but according to the NP, I'm just not ready yet and they want to give nature the opportunity to take its course. Which is fine with me. When I go in next week, they'll probably start talking about my options. Ofcourse, this is assuming that I haven't gone into labor by then, which she said could very well happen.
Tonight we go to the hospital with the prenatal class for a tour of the labor and delivery area, and then on Thursday is the last class on breastfeeding. This week has been one of preparation - figuring out the car seat dilemma, packing bags for the hospital (I'm READY!!!) and getting as much rest as possible. Things are coming together pretty quickly - now we just need Paul Daniel to make it all complete!

Getting close! Hard to believe we're talking days now, instead of months. The time has flown! I checked the moon cycle, but not a full moon this week (more babies are born on a full moon-- Shawn was one of them). Paul Daniel will be born when Paul Daniel wants to be born. At this point the doctors know as much as you do. We are all anxiously awaiting Paul Daniel's "coming out party"!! Hope to be seeing you real soon.........!!!!
