I can't believe that it has been over a month since I have written in here!! The last month has been somewhat a blur, between the busy-ness at school and getting ready for the Holidays and dealing with ear infections and life in general!
Paul is now almost 8 months old. About three weeks ago, I took him to the doctor because he was still coughing and still was not feeling very well. Good thing I did, because he had a double ear infection! They gave him a different kind of antibiotics, and he has been doing much better. I took him in yesterday for a followup and his ears are clear, as well as his lungs even though he is still coughing and sneezing. The doctor says it's just one of those things that will have to run its course. We also had the second round of the H1N1 vaccination.
He is now 22 pounds exactly. I was looking at his car seat, and the weight limit is 23 pounds.....it is getting so ridiculously heavy that I think we're going to have to convert to the other very soon and start carrying him until he can walk. He is absolutely LOVING food - and he is NOT HAPPY when he sees the bowl being scraped to get the last little bit of food. Once he's cleaned up and distracted with other things, he is fine, though....thank goodness. I didn't want to have to make an appearance on Dr. Phil for having a baby that won't stop eating and weighs 90 pounds by the time he's a year old! ha ha!!!
He is sitting up a little more now and can balance himself for a few seconds....his head and neck are really strong and he can turn over most of the time, but still has to really work on it. He likes to tuck his hands under his chest, which keeps him from actually making the turn over, but I try to make a point of working with him a couple times a day with that if I'm home with him during the day and he's in a good mood. One thing he has discovered is the johnny jumper!!! I noticed that he loved his exersaucer and would start bouncing up and down in it, so I thought it might be time to get out the jumper. He LOOOOOVES to bounce up and down in it!!
He is also becoming a lot more vocal - there's times when it sounds like he's trying to carry on a coversation with you through his babbles. He will also stick out his tongue and when you stick out your tongue, he starts to laugh....it's like his own little conversation with you. The laughs and giggles are just waay too cute, and he's doing more and more every day! Gosh, I look back to a year ago and think how I hadn't even felt him move inside of me by this point....it's hard to believe that it was only a year ago! I remember it like yesterday, but at the same time I can't imagine life without our little munchkin. He is truly a joy and a blessing! Merry Christmas to all who read this (if anyone actually does! :) )

I read it!! He was so cute at Christmas, laughing at Laura and he really enjoyed being "chauffered" around in the umbrella stroller. Sorry we couldn't do Sistahood. Can't wait to get my hands on him again! (oh, yeah, and to see you as well! LOL)
