I am officially in my second trimester!!!! I have a feeling the next several months are going to fly by....! I mean, Christmas is just around the corner! I had my doctor's appointment today, and heartbeat sounded good once she found it. I was about to have a cow as she was searching for it....I knew the heartbeat was in there somewhere!!!! The doctors set me up with Duke Perinatal Consultants (in Raleigh) for 11/24 - they'll do a comprehensive ultrasound and we should be able to tell the sex of the baby on that visit as well. I will also go in for an AFP test next week....they check for Down's Syndrome and other things during that test. I will also have to have a shot later on....can't remember what it's called, but it's because my blood type is AB Negative, and they want to make sure my blood and the baby's blood is compatible....I'll have to have the same shot again after I deliver the baby. Next regular appointment will be 12/1.
Overall, I feel pretty good - my energy level seems to be back up and I think I'm past the worst of the crud, although Adam has it now. Hopefully we won't be passing it back and forth. I'm also getting a flu shot this week. So that's the news on this side....I've got a lot of school work to do, so I can't be too chatty today. Till next time!! :)

I'm glad you're feeling better! I can't wait until your next appointment & to maybe find out what you are having (I know, a baby, right!?) Just wait until you start feeling the baby move....You have so many wonderful moments ahead of you (nice though that some of us can live vicariously through you)!
